All characters belong to Kiera Cass.(Some characters are not from Kiera Cass and they are pretty easy to tell who they are) **The beginning chapters kind of are horrible, but in my opinion they only get better!**

I really love the Selection series by Kiera Cass! I also read so much fanfics but there were always a lot of things I didn't like. so I decided to write my own one. Please read this fanfiction only if you also read the Selection series. All rights belong to Kiera Cass.

A secret was revealed that Maxon wasn't the heir to the throne but a brother of his from his father's affair. That brother had chosen to hold a selection for his queen with the four elite members; Natalie, America, Celeste, and Elise. Would America find herself attach to Maxon over again or with his brother?

Maxon looked like an angel. His golden hair was slicked back, and his tight tuxedo defined his strong arms. He looked over at me and winked. Heat crept up my cheeks as I averted my eyes and focused on the wine in front of me. As I took a sip, the world sort of faded, and there was Maxon, standing tall. Right in front of me, with a bright smile overtaking his face. He put a hand on my shoulder and guided me to the dance floor. It was empty. Suddenly, out of nowhere, an orchestra appeared and started playing the slowest music I had ever heard. He put a hand on my waist as I looped my arms around his neck. We swayed to the music for a moment before he dipped his head downwards and tilted my chin. I closed my eyes, anticipating the sweet kiss that would soon be on my lips. We were getting closer, and closer, and closer. . . Suddenly, the arms around my waist disappeared. I opened my eyes, only to see the orchestra gone and America playing the violin instead. Maxon was right in front of her, with an adoring smile on his face. She stopped playing, and pulled Maxon down for the kiss that I lost. I screamed. Warning: You might not understand a thing if you haven't read The Selection series by Kiera Cass.

I know what you're thinking: WHAT! Well, you see I had this genius idea. To make America the princess. Aspen and Maxon = Kriss and America. I mean Aspen and Maxon both competing for the heart of America equally. I am honestly very excited. Hope you enjoy as much as I do! XOXO

**All characters and some plot points belong to Kiera Cass** Based on the Selection Series, specifically the ending of The One The rebel attack that nearly killed Maxon never happened. He proposes to Kriss who accepts. 3 months later, he deeply regrets his decision and tries to get America back. I felt the rebel attack was out of nowhere and made no sense plot wise. This is how I think the story should have ended.

Violet Embers is a 6 who was sold from her cruel family to be a maid at the palace where the royal family and Prince Nic lives. She is determined to work as diligently as possible but when the Prince is proving to be quite the distraction.... other things are inevitable. (I recommend you have read the selection series before this to understand)
