America doesn't win. She doesn't become Maxon's wife. Kriss wins the selection, but Maxon still loves America, and starts to cheat on Kriss.

This is an alternate version where Marlee won the selection, and she and Maxon are happily married. America ends up with Aspen, so they stay in the castle. Kile is now having his own selection. Maxon chose Kriss. America goes home very upset. She's forced to the life as an 8 when the people of Carolina believe she committed a crime to not be chosen.
