Villains usually did not, and if you're a villain, you're on your own. Max did pretty well as a villain. The world is his, and he rules over everything and everyone. He regrets it. All of it. Max realizes his fate too late as he takes his last breaths. He'll be forgotten. He'll be known for his tyranny. Maybe there will be stories about him, told by the campfire, or to get young children to listen. Maybe a mother will one day tell them that, if the children don't listen, Max will get them. But no one will remember him. He regrets killing them. Everyone who has fallen by his hand. But he never thought that it would be one of his own siblings that would kill him. And he'll die alone. And as he took his last breaths, he wished. And he begged the universe for forgiveness. Because Max doesn't want to die alone. (two-shot possibly)
