It has not been long since Barry Allen became The Flash and he has been doing his best to protect Central City. Supergirl has also not been active very long helping out in Metropolis where she can. They have both been working separately but know of each other's existence. However a new evil has emerged it's head, targeting other cities. She is only sixteen she changed her last name to Queen it was originally Grace. Will Maxwell find out and ask questions. well read to find out. Oh and by the way her best friend is Alex and Alex took her in and told her everything because she trusted her. There will be a shock by the way so stay reading. Like Max, her parents worked for the government in the same lab as his parents and they were killed the exact way his were. She too began resenting the government and helped him build Lord Industristries and basically made sure he got both a work and home life. (Think of Pepper Potts XD) 5 years prior to the story line, Max and Danyssa ended up drunk at his flat and they had a "magical night to remember", yeah a month later danyssa learned she was pregnant and she knew it was Max's but she never told him out of fear how he would react so when asked she replied that it was at one of the males from Lord Industries or CatCo's parties. 8 months later she gave birth to a girl whom she named (your name) Maxine Winchester. As (your name) grew she began asking Danyssa where her daddy was and Danyssa felt terrible about lying but she still had yet to tell Max that he had a daughter and she is always honest with her daughter while keeping it hidden that her daddy is Max. Now at 4 almost 5 years old, (your name) is determined to find out who her daddy is, and play matchmaker for her mom, get ready for her first day of pre-k.... Interrupting her school day, Lena is dragged off to a Checkmate mission where she meets two other pawns and finds her leadership tested. It's really the aftermath that shows things are headed to a boil. This fic is a prequel to the first book in the Next of Kin series. If you haven't read that yet please do not continue. This contains spoilers. If you've read NoK, well, here's the sixth of several short pieces of some backstory I plan to post. Where my character is put into a similar position as Barbara was with Max using her to get the stone. Also I'm extending the timeline of events so their relationship doesn't seem too rushed. The two crashed to earth stuck at the ages of 13 and 14 in two different places of the same city. The two meet up again at Catco and soon, Kara and Ashlee come to find that they can be more than just Assistants to Cat Graham. Sadly, Ashlee also falls for Winn Schott. When she decides to join the world as Haven, without telling Clark and Kara, she has to figure out how to live life as a superhero and as the assistant of Cat Graham. She also has to figure out how to live with Winn loving her best friend. Will she crumble under the weight of the world or will an unexpected ally make her see that there's more to life than an IT Guy who is head over heels for the blonde Supergirl, or will she crash a burn because of it all? *P.S. When a super alien lands on earth Kara takes matters into her own hands but when Supergirl realises she's not strong enough on her own; will it be too late to ask for help. It's up to Alex to use everything she knows about Kara to find and save her little sister but things take a turn when Alex gets caught and finds out who's behind this Super alien attack.
