Neil was your average sciencey, antisocial nerd you see in your highschool. Seemingly nothing special, just another person there to fill the schools quota. Max, on the other hand, was as well, antisocial, but for different reasons. Max was just, as most describe him, an asshole, jerk, and other things alike. Though he was still a smart kid, he knew a lot more than he let off, get to talk to him and let him know and trust you a bit, he can share some pretty neat facts and ideas. So, what will happen if they meet? --- (This story will reference/show Max's past and home life, which includes neglect, abuse, and other things of such. The whole story will have cussing through the whole of it, parts will have bullying and drug use. I think that's it there.)

(Max is 13 and Neil is 14 in this fanfic! Also, I have no ownership of Camp Camp!) What if, in the episode Mind Freakers, instead of Neil being obsessed over Harrison's magic trick and how he could do it, he was actually worried about Max rather than the magic trick? I'll tell you what would happen-- Maxeil/Nax would become sO CANON- *ahem* Anyway, a whole new story would unwind, and the two would fall in love. The problem is, Max is incredibly dense, since he never loved anyone romantically before (He used to love his parents, but let's not get into that... yet). So, Max tries his best to understand /why/ he feels so happy around Neil, or the knot in his chest when he sees Tabbii fawning over Neil. It's time for Max to learn How to Love Someone.

Once the bus drove max to his house, max immediately felt an immense sense of dread crash over him. He didn't "enjoy" camp, but he didn't really want to leave after he realized that Nikki and Neil were friends that were here to stay throughout the rest of elementary and possibly middle school. Every single time they spent together was during camp, every single second was adventure and a real sense of happiness. And now as Max walked into his home, he couldn't help but almost miss that happy feeling with his friends and constantly antagonizing David for fun. He's changed, he doesn't like the fact he's changed, but he has. But there's not really anything he could do about it now. School starts back up in two weeks and he needs to ask his parents to take him back to school shopping, or they'll just shove money in his arms and tell him to get it himself. He didn't like that. He's independent, but he's only 10, he shouldn't need to be independent. Though max doesn't really know that, he's used to doing things himself. He doesn't know that he should have someone by his side to help him buy his school supplies, to help him do his homework when he doesn't understand, to help him when he needs it. He hasn't experienced that yet. Though after he finds the Camp Campbell website, and finds a certain counselors phone number on it, maybe he's ready to finally get the proper help he deserves.

Before you start reading this first part,here's some info you need to know about this story/fanfic. - This story takes place in Highschool,they are older. There will be more people also in the fanfic like Nikki.
