Life can change in an instant and for Maya Bishop it had . Eighteen Years Later Maya and Carina's daughter Lucia is in the Seattle Fire Academy and is homesick on her birthday but she gets one special gift from someone special that let's her know that "The sky's the limit, fuck it, you can do it"

Set in the past - Maya is a track star for her high school, training to get to the Olympics. Andrew DeLuca is on her team and watches the brutal training her father puts her through. With the help of his older sister, the DeLuca siblings try to help Maya find a healthier way to achieve her goals.

Let's just say this story is about Mayas family (well probably not only hers...) Maya and Carina are happily married and starting a family. Maya is severely injured in a fire due to Captain Beckett's drinking and lack of judgment. Carina doesn't know if Maya will survive, and she never wants to let her go. She has so much to lose, but there may be so much to gain because of this fire.

Maya and Carina's lives are going in the right direction in all areas. Carina suggests taking an extra step in their lives to start looking for a house. The bad memories from the past still linger somewhere inside her and since their IVF process is ongoing and their family is going to grow, a larger place is a good idea. She wants to quickly have a little celebrate of happiness with her wife, but in the NICU room they have to behave well so she leads her somewhere else.

Maya and Carina have finally decided to start a family. After a few unsuccessful attempts, they decide that foster care is their best option. Luna and Emma have been in the system for a few years and after a few failed placements they have lost any hope of finding their "forever home" but maybe Carina and Maya can change that. -------------------- English is not my first language so I hope you can understand the grammar mistakes
