Five months after her disappearance we were told that she was dead. There wasn't a body or much proof but we all felt we knew. Maya was strong. She could have done anything she set her mind to. We don't know what happened. Some say she was kidnapped, others think she ran away. We were definite she was gone. She would have reached out to us if she wasn't. Boy, were we wrong.
