Maya Matlin has been going to Degrassi for years. She has always been focused on school and music more than anything else until a new boy: Miles Hollingsworth turns her world upside down.

Riley, Maya, Lucas, Farkle, and Zay arrive at Degrassi Community School. They meet the Hollingsworth siblings, and Miles and Hunter instantly hate Lucas. There's something that attracts Lucas to Frankie, but there's another grade 11 Lucas has his eyes glued on. Farkle meets Maya, a grade 12 who's dating a protective gang member named Zig, who doesn't let Maya out of his sight. If she takes one step, he's right behind her. Zay meets Shay, a hot grade 11 who isn't afraid to speak her mind. She has a grade 12 boyfriend named Tiny. Zay starts to have feelings for Shay, but he can't let that get out. Riley becomes friends with Frankie's brother Miles, and she learns of his abusive father and how much he has been through with girls and boys. An emergency takes place at the Hollingsworth house, and Riley is there. What is she supposed to do? Farkle meets two grade 12 girls named Zoe and Grace. Grace has cystic fibrosis, and is fighting to survive. Maya has a big secret though.

Keaton is opening its doors to new students, expanding their music and dance departments, and even trying to open their doors to gifted athletes. Maya Matlin and Craig Manning, two incoming musicians may face some challenges adjusting to their new atmosphere. Cam and Drew feel strange, being two jocks entering a new atmosphere. Zig, who used to be the best dancer at Degrassi, is now just another dancer at Keaton. Miles and Craig seem like enemies, until they find out each other's secrets, will they be able to face their own problems with each other's help? Maya is the youngest transfer, in the eighth grade, is she really ready for high school yet? Cam and Drew need to adjust to not being the kings of the school. While Cam begins adjusting well, Drew cannot handle it, how will these two jocks survive their new high school? Will they all have what it takes to make it through Keaton?

There's a new girl at Degrassi, it's Bailey Cameron, you know Sean Cameron's sister. they have just moved back to Degrassi.When she arrives and sees her old best friend Campbell, when she comes back she expects things to be the same as before and wants to tell him about her feelings but she realizes that she was too late. As all this is happening her and her brother have a trip down memory lane meeting Emma and spinner. Sean expects that he and Emma will get back together but realizes that she has moved on with spinner. maya cant take feeling alone any more and is missing Campball and can't handle seeing zig with esme and not with her she also cant keep her secret from her own friends any more you see... after Cam died maya found out she was pregnant with Zig and had a break down so her parents sent her to her godparents for the last 7 months of her pregnancy which after she gave birth to her daughter Zeya-Luke Grace Novak-Matlin who when zig moved in she was sent to stay with Maya's father on the other side of Toronto with Maya feeling like she was she thought it was best for her to go and stay with her 2nd love Cam.
