Haymitch Abernathy is a sixteen year old from District 12. His life is turned upside down when he is chosen to be a tribute for The Hunger Games. This is about his treacherous time in the Arena.

The 75th Hunger Games are getting close, but Plutarch Heavensbee is dead. After finding out that his Head Gamemaker had links with the rebellion, and District 13, President Snow sees himself facing his worst nightmares. He wants to burn the Girl on Fire, crush the spark she lit. Luckily for him, there's a new Head Gamemaker willing to bring Panem's worst and best memories back in order to make this Quarter Quell impossible to forget.

May Donner named after Maysilee Donner, her mom sister, people say that she looks and acts exactly like her. When she got reaped everyone that knew Maysilee Donner couldn't help but think of her when they saw May walk up, not even Haymitch could help it.

Haymitch accidentally stumbles upon a tape of his family's interview during the Quarter Quell. This forces him to reveal his heartbreaking story to Katniss. 'Mockingjay' briefly mentions 'his girl', but who was she, really? This is his story...

"We'd live longer with two of us," Maysilee noted. "I guess you just proved that," Haymitch said to her. "Allies?" Maysilee asked him, her eyes had almost a twinkle to them. Haymitch nodded and Maysilee's smile grew, her eyes lit up brighter than the sun at dawn. The cannon boomed, marking the death of a contestant, but also marking the birth of an alliance. --------------- character creds to Suzanne Collins (most of them are hers)

It's the 50th Hunger Games, a Quarter Quell. In honor of the games there will be twice the amount of tributes in the arena. This means twice the amount of deaths. How will District 12 tribute, Haymitch Abernathy survive the brutal games? Will the odds be in his favor?

There was a boy in front of her. If she had been someone else she would have studied his face. If she had been someone she knew a long time ago, she would have wondered who he was. What he liked, what he disliked, who he loved and who he hated. She would have wondered because then, in that life, they would both have been human. They would both have had lives. Now, none of them was human. None of them had a life. So she didn't wonder what he liked or disliked and she didn't wonder who he loved and hated. She only knew one thing. There was a boy in front of her. A boy she didn't want to be in front of her. Maysilee Donner did what every none-human-being would do. She raised her weapon. If you have read Catching Fire, from The Hunger Games series, or are reading it right now, it's possible you know who Maysilee Donner is. She's mentioned on a few pages and she's one of the tributes in the 50th Hunger Games together with Haymitch. I decided to write a fanfiction from her perspective and I hope you enjoy! :) If there is anything I have interpreted in one way and you agree or disagree, please tell me through comments. We all know Haymitch, the paunchy old drunk who spends his time falling from chairs and entertaining the masses. But who was he before, what happened to make his life come to this? The sleeping with a knife and waking up screaming? Let me tell you a story about the 50th Hunger Games and how Haymitch's life was changed forever. (hey yo I wrote this when I was like 13 but basically it's like an origin story. only five parts and completed. enjoy!)
