I, Jasmine, was called in for the fiftieth hunger games. A quarter quell. The theme for this one? Double the tributes from each district. I live in district 7, home of lumber and trees. What can make things worse? My little brother, barely twelve, was called in as well. Luckily, a boy, Jack Barker, who I've never seen before volunteers. I don't know why, but I feel like I have a debt to pay. The bad thing is if I win and he dies, how long will I live with that guilt? But, if I die for him, how will my little siblings Ash and Ivy live? If I die, they die, but if I live, I'll live with the guilt. Will I be the victor of the 50th hunger games?

There was a boy in front of her. A boy she didn't want to be in front of her. Maysilee Donner did what every none-human-being would do. She raised her weapon. If you have read Catching Fire, from The Hunger Games series, or are reading it right now, it's possible you know who Maysilee Donner is. She's mentioned on a few pages and she's one of the tributes in the 50th Hunger Games together with Haymitch.
