He can't sleep. Maybe it's because the boy is bathed in thick, fat covers. Yeah-- it's the heat. He's too hot, that's it. Brendan sighs aloud. He can't keep lying to himself. He knows it's not the heat. He's missing something. Someone... May. His heart sinks every time he thinks of her. Yet, he still finds himself peeping through his window to see hers. Somehow, he dreams she'll show up and stare back. And throw handfuls of pebbles in attempt to wake him. But she's not there, and he's awake. He heaves the covers off of his body angrily as the hot tears begin to pour down his face. He gasps as desperate cries escape his lips. He shakes and trembles, wishing she were here. With him. But she's not. ****** Two months after May Maple claimed the title of Hoenn region's champion, she suddenly disappeared. After months of searching for the beloved girl, it was decided that she had run away. Brendan Birch can't accept it. A year after her disappearance, he is more reserved and cold. He's lonely. He's longing. But all begins to change when strange signs begin to point him back to the girl he loved, the girl he lost.

Brendan, son of gym leader Norman, arrived at a little town of Littleroot to pursue his dreams of becoming the Pokémon champion of the Hoenn region and be the best pokemon trainer of Hoenn. May, on the other hand, is the helper of professor Birch and has a dream of catching all the Pokémon but has a secret desire to be the best trainer of Hoenn too. After becoming best friends and rivals to test each others strength, they start having feelings for each other and start becoming more then rivals. Honestly, I will never finish this. My deepest apologies, however it's for a good cause. I'm stealing story elements which would have been in this in a different, much larger series which will use these 'elements' better, trust me!

In which, Brendan joins the Theatre Arts club and supposedly meets the love of his life- or, at least that's what his script says. [Modern Day, Short, Pokemon not mine] Began: May 7th, 2016 Completed:

Eighteen year old May Maple is finally ready to settle down after finally becoming top coordinator of Hoen. Before she goes back to her new home in Kanto she and Drew get into a huge fight before she leaves. Little does May know that Drew was only mad because he saw her best friend Brendan giving her a hug. Harley overhears Drew and May argue and tells him that he needs to go to Kanto and patch things up with May and tell her how he feels about her. To Harley's annoyance Drew forces Harely to come with him. The two of them end up flying to Kanto together and they find that May also has feelings for Brendan, her childhood friend. Harley and Drew go to Party hosted in Ash's home hoping to find May. Eventually they do but when a priceless artifact is stolen, Drew becomes the prime suspect due to his lack of an albi. Harley, May, Paul, Ash, and Gary team up to help prove Drew's innocence. Little does May know that the thief was after more than just the artifact. The thief was out for revenge and possibly her heart.

May's life has been a disaster from the very beginning. Each coming day, she was getting one step closer to her end, her expiration date, her death. If only she had someone strong enough to stitch her heart back together before she finally breaks. [I Don't Own Pokemon / Short]

The new guy next door is everything she hates, and the worst bit is, he doesn't even care. That is, until an accident in the Littleroot Lab's supply cupboard changes everything.

After an event causes Pokémon to turn against humans, trainers must fight to survive in the harsh world they now live in. May and the Pokémon Rangers set off to find out what happened and to put a stop to it.

May and Drew begin their new adventure together in the Johto region! However, things aren't as they seem. Something is going on under the surface. Can Drew protect May while trying to run from his past and feelings for her? Updates every Friday I'm so bad at summaries! Also, the chapter count seems really high, but the chapters aren't super big, (between 1,000 and 2,000 words) I'd love if you give this story a chance and I am definitely finishing it so I'm not going to randomly drop it. I know it's been over two years, but hey, just call me Emporer Palpatine, you never thought I would return but I did :)
