To have your memory wiped and your life stolen away from you is one thing. To then be thrown into a life restricted by four towering walls and surrounded by nothing but strangers is where fight or flight really kicks in. Tiegan had no choice but to find her feet in the Glade. She was the first girl to arrive and had no time to be terrified of the life the boys before her had managed to endure. Just as her arrival as the first girl had been a shock, for Tiegan to arrive alongside a boy left suspicious whispers within the walls because there had only ever been one new Glader at a time. There were so many secrets beyond the walls but it was hard to try and listen to them when life in the Glade was forced to go on like clockwork. Thomas - the boy Tiegan arrived with - can't live restricted within the walls and he does everything to fight his way out. Tiegan can't decide whether the escape that lies beyond the horrors within the maze is better than the restricted life trapped inside the walls of the Glade.

It felt like hours, days even that she had been stuck in the lonely black cage, ceaselessly moving upwards with constant clanking noises. It had been so long that she'd even had time to calm herself from her initial panic and was even becoming bored. She sat cross-legged on the cold metal floor and absentmindedly stared at her hands folded in her lap. Her mind raced, searching and searching for any memory that could explain where she was or how she'd gotten there. There was nothing, though. She had no answers. All she had was a name. Her name: Beth. James Dashner's The Maze Runner series is the greatest. Find out what happened before WICKED sent Thomas into the Glade. AUTHOR'S NOTE: Please note that this was in progress before the release of The Fever Code, so it doesn't match up. But after a few days in the glade one glader in particular becomes her best friend. But she notices something about him. She always thought of him as a friend but then wondered was he thought of her. To him is she more than just a friend? (I'm sorry that the chapters are short! I tried my best to make them long.) This story takes place before Thomas and Teresa and takes place after the time Newt jumped off the maze walls. As a warning to all there may be spoilers for both book and movies!
