It's my first story which I've written for the Hawaii Five-0 fandom. Today, I watched so many McDanno edits and one of them gave has given me the idea for this story. I hope you'll like it?! :)

Danny had never been so frustrated in his life. There were his growing feelings Steve, and they had a series of murders that made no sense. The last thing he needed was Lucifer to appear and ask for his help. The last time they had seen each other was a passionate night of sex before he left for the hell hole called Hawaii. Just a quick one shot of McDanno (Hawaii Five-0) Danny and Steve is visiting Danny's family in New Jersey and they go to a souvenir shop. And we all know they can't do anything without arguing, so here it is! When someone from Steve's past comes back into his life he has to work out a way to balance the age old secret and his new relationship.

Steve turned on the television, it had become one of his nightly routines he'd watch the news hoping to get a glimpse of her. Danny had been in Jersey for the last few days and Steve felt like he was all alone. A beautiful picture of her singing popped up on the screen and Steve turned up the volume on the television scooting to the edge of his seat. "Well known singer and songwriter Lola Williams, found dead in her apartment in New York." Steve grabbed his phone calling the first person he thought would be awake at 2 am. After a few rings came Chin's groggy voice, before he could speak Steve chipped in. "Turn on the news now!" Steve didn't know how to feel he felt like dying. He felt like his heart had been ripped out again. He had trouble breathing. "Steve, this can't be true. I'm getting in my car now. Call Danny." Steve hung up the phone not believing what he was hearing

Ever since I watched the H50 finale, I've worked on two McDanno Fix-it fanfics. This is number 1. 14 months later: Steve and Catherine tried to make their relationship work. After the COVID-19 period and a mayor change in his life, Steve heads back to the place his heart is at: Hawaii. He's coming home to his Danno and their Labrador Eddie. The question is how's Danny going to react when he finally sees Steve again and will he like the little surprise Steve brings with him?

I'll risk to be the odd one here because, I have seen a lot of the 2010 version of McDanno, I guess I'm doing the 60s versions then. All characters are owned by the originals of the series and so own.
