Mcspirk Stories

For Valentines day, three retired star fleet officers go camping. Which in order is: Spock, McCoy, and Jim. A short story in one part. It was supposed to be a short story but then the reality of these three being old and bonded hit square in where the heart of the story lay.

This is a bribe fic written for my companion, Bradley. It's a mashing of AoS and ToS and I've smudged some canon to make it work. (I know, ugh, but I wanted to make it to Bradley's specifics) Things of note: This is set in a mix of AoS and ToS. The mechanics of the academy are more similar to ToS, meaning Kirk won't become a captain in two years, but rather the original 14. However, more like AoS, Spock is currently teaching at the academy after working under Pike. And, like AoS, he rejected the VSA. McCoy, in this, is older than Kirk, but less so than in the original. This ignores Kirk's years as an ensign and a Lt, and ignores the canon fact that Leonard never went to the academy. This universe slightly changes starfleet requirements for medical officers.

Four times Spock started the ozh'esta when he lost track of Jim and the one time McCoy called him out on it .

What happens in the past remains in the past. Bones would like to believe that. C-24 wrecked his first life, John 'Reaper' Grimm part of the Rapid Response Tactical Squad (or RRTS), taking away all those he worked with. These days he goes by the name Leonard 'Bones' McCoy. It was never just the two of them. Logic, emotion, and the balance between them.

Warmth. There was warmth-weight-settled against the solid line of Jim's spine, comfortable and familiar in all the best sorts of ways, and the Enterprise's Captain didn't bother trying to resist the temptation to slowly stretch against that grounding familiarity, drawing in the heat of another's body to keep it buried and close to his center. The temptation to slip back into sleep was something that Jim had to fight hard against, silent reminders of all of the various tasks that he had to get to today; despite that, however, it was still a long time in coming before the summer-hued man was able to bring himself to slowly open his eyes: bright blue against the golden tan of his face, and the young man slowly smiled as he caught sight of Spock meditating on the thick woolen rug situated next to their bed.

There are three things that can hurt some-one when pushing them to their limits or making them feel pain: emotional, physical, and mental. Sometimes the last part can hurt more than the physical, and sometimes, just sometimes, but perhaps rarely this ever happens, you get the wrong version of the mind inhabiting it.
