Miss Amelia Irving, the eldest daughter to the Irvings, is to marry someone for a business deal that her father has made. She has to oblige or else she might suffer great consequences. Mr Jones is not fond of marriage or any special connections. He is the only son of Earl and Mrs Jones so he cannot back out from this business deal. He only agrees to marry because of what he will get from the business deal. Amelia realises Mr Jones's plans and tries to change his mind about marriage. But will she do it in time before the wedding? And will she teach Mr Jones how to love? Will he end up marrying her for the money or for love?
