Miles Morales wasn't born with powers. Or fated to be a hero. But after witnessing the death of Peter Parker, Spider-Man, to the Sinister Six and Shroud. He knew he had to carry the legacy. After Shroud escapes prison he teams up with Mecha Man, to track down the former hero turned villain and bring justice to their lost ones.

When a loud, immature prick of a career criminal who's been run out of every crime syndicate in the city goes solo, it's only a matter of time before he gets himself arrested. After a standard pickpocket attempt goes awry, leading to the death of an innocent bystander, Owen Gallagher finds himself in just that situation, imprisoned for 25 years. However, a sudden, unexpected chance at redemption comes quickly in the form of the SDN's Phoenix Program. Taking the easy out, Owen joins up as a probationary superhero among the likes of eight other villains--all messed up in their own unique ways.
