It's basically the Broadway Newsies, except it's told from Race's POV. Also some Sprace (Spot x Race) stuff.

Okay, so what if Jack Kelly was actually a girl and Katherine was a boy. Same plot line and everything, but some dialouge is different because Katherine would be a boy and Jack would be a girl. The Newsies would all be boys too. I don't really know, but I want this to happen...

For someone, life as a newsie probably isn't the dream come true. The job is horribly paid, you work all day out in the sun and you have to deal with people not being so nice to you. Also, you have to put your mind to work when coming up with headlines because them newspaper folks can't come up with anything good half the time. Oh, and you have to share a run-down building with many boys. Simply said that life is not a paradise on Earth. But for Elizabeth Saunders that life was more than she could ever ask for. It was her best bet at a better life. Well, until some people decided to mess around with poor newsies and forced them to go on strike. How does Elizabeth cope with so many changes around her when she feels trapped in a web of iniquity? And how does she cope with her pestering feelings for one of the newsboys? Also what happens after the strike is over?

Caroline has worked for her aunt Medda for almost four years, and is well antiquated with Jack Kelly, the famous Newsie. So when he enlists her help with the strike, how could she say no? After all, maybe she'll get to see that cute boy with the little brother again.
