Historias de Medellín

A veces el destino tiene formas extrañas de unir a las personas. En 2024, Blessd vivía uno de los mejores momentos de su carrera musical. Tenía fama, éxito y una relación estable junto a Nicole, conocida por todos como La Suprema. Por su parte, Manuela QM disfrutaba de su crecimiento como creadora de contenido. Con millones de sueños por cumplir y una relación con el streamer MT Stiven TC, sentía que todo marchaba perfectamente. Dos vidas diferentes. Dos historias ya escritas. Dos corazones que no tenían motivos para encontrarse. O al menos eso creían. Porque un simple encuentro sería suficiente para cambiarlo todo. Y cuando los sentimientos comienzan a aparecer, ignorarlos puede convertirse en la decisión más difícil de todas.

En las montañas que rodean Medellín, Colombia, hay una palabra que casi nadie explica, pero todos parecen entender: omertá. Cuando el narrador la escucha por primera vez, dicha en voz baja sobre dos hombres sentados a pocos metros, algo cambia. Lo que empieza como una simple curiosidad se convierte en una búsqueda silenciosa entre cafés, miradas y conversaciones incompletas. ¿Es una sociedad secreta? ¿Un pacto antiguo? ¿O algo más sutil, imposible de comprobar pero fácil de sentir? A medida que las respuestas se vuelven más difusas, una idea queda clara: si son omertá, puedes confiar... aunque tal vez nunca entiendas por qué.

La vida de Tison se complica cuando entra en la guerrilla

With Baja California just down the coast and scenes unfolding years later in Medellín, Colombia, 2025, the novel moves fluidly across time and place, mirroring Jamie's own non-linear process of understanding. Jamie is in an open relationship with Jason, who is living temporarily in Cuba, navigating his own path abroad (or getting followed by chickens and dogs with souls). Back home, Jamie finds herself wrestling with a growing crush on her best friend, Nadia-a pursuit that everyone, including Jamie, knows will not end well (or, leave a permanent mark). At its core, this is a story about the messy realities of love, desire, and identity. It's about what happens when the boundaries we set-between partners, between friends, even between parts of ourselves-start to dissolve.
