In his sentencing to life, he meets the open-minded gear dealer of Lost Temple, Broker. She gives him a deal so he can get out of here. But a catch is that Subspace must work now for his enemies previous faction in the Church of the True Eye. Scythe gets freed from the clutches of her captor, her own The Father of the True Eye with major injuries. She is saved by the kind but cautious healer Vinestaff. She doesn't take kindly to her, but Hyperlaser brought her in so she needs to deal with her bull for the time being. But her attitude will slowly fade due to her charm.
