When bitten by a werewolf, a young boy's life is not changed so much as judo flipped and trampled. He soon sees that the world is much bigger and more dangerous than he thought. When werewolves and humans alike start disappearing, he tries to figure out where they've gone and who's responsible. Along the way he finds that some monsters wear human faces.
