Cassidy's parents have just died and she is now living with her grandparents. Now having to struggle with their death and the creepy new guy, Jace, in her English class, she feels she going kind of crazy. She's hearing voices and seeing strange things and none of it has happened before the new guy got here. She goes around with her friends Elizabeth and Scarlet to see what they can find and see what strange things are going on with and because of Jace, and why all of the sudden she has a strong force pulling her closer and closer to Jace. She can barely stand him and some strange power makes it feel like she can't bare to be away from him.

This book is basically about cosplay, otaku, anime, manga and all that jazz!
