In front of the gate of a dormitory in Yogyakarta, two exchange students met for the first time - both having just set foot in the same city, but with entirely different ways of settling in. However, the warm introduction that afternoon did not lead to anything further. Over the six months of the exchange programme, they merely crossed paths - in the canteen, at the library, amidst campus festivals, under the same rain - without ever having the courage to be the first to greet one another. It was only on the final night, at the same street corner where they first spoke, that they both finally admitted: they had been noticing each other from the very beginning. The promise to keep in touch gradually faded amidst the busyness of dissertations, graduation, and lives that pulled them in different directions. Until one day, unbeknownst to each other, they both landed jobs in the same city. In the midst of a major project - one on the business side, the other on the legal side - the coincidence they had always failed to pursue now stood right before them. The question was no longer about having the courage to greet, but about daring to start from the point that had always been overlooked.

Aura has to travel back with Lakita on horseback to the Crystal Isles, (a four day trek) and finds herself in more danger than she can handle.
