The story starts at the end of Love Never Dies, or LND, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. You may want to read this after you at least read the Wikipedia page or listened to the soundtrack. Switching between Erik's and Gustave's point of view, it tells the story of what happens after Christine died. Gustave learns some disturbing secrets about his true father. Then, the story takes place eight years later with Gustave going through some family initiation where he, Erik, Madame Giry, Meg, and Miss Fleck bump into an old friend. We then travel thirty-one years to 1919 to deal with some unfinished business. QUICK NOTE: THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS I DO NOT OWN: ERIK DESTLER, CHRISTINE DAAE, VICOMTE(?) Two years after everything happened, things are going well for Christine and Raoul, even to the point where they're finally comfortable enough to start a family and make a fresh start, but maybe it was too soon to hope for that when Christine is invited back to the opera house to help renew its reputation. Especially so when an old friend finds out about her and Raoul's plans of a family and tries to stop it in its tracks.
