Opowieść Murad & Safiye to kontynuacja mojej wcześniejszej opowieści czyli Nurbanu vs Selimiye. Akcja toczy się w XVI wieku w latach 1574-1595. Opowiada o panowaniu sułtana Murada III. Sułtan miał 7 żon: Safiye, Sahihuban, Semsiruhsar, Nazperver, Mihriban, Fahriye, Fulane. Lecz największą miłością darzył swoją główną konkubinę czyli sułtankę Safiye ( matkę jego następcy sułtana Mehmeda III ).
