      Bab 2
The first thing anyone notices about Meisho Doto isn't her speed. It's the way she hesitates. A step too late. A quiet apology before anyone says a word. The way she lowers her gaze like she's already expecting to fail. At Tracen Academy, where confidence defines everything, she stands out-not for being the best, but for looking like she doesn't belong at all. And yet... she never stops trying. She stumbles. She overthinks. She doubts herself constantly. But she runs. You notice her by accident. Not because she wins. Not because she stands out. But because, for a brief moment-at the very end of a race-she changes. In the final stretch, the hesitation disappears. Her steps sharpen. The fear that holds her back seems to vanish, and suddenly, impossibly... She surges forward. Like someone who forgot how to be afraid. It never lasts. As soon as the race ends, so does that version of her. She returns to being the same anxious girl, apologizing under her breath, convinced she didn't deserve even that moment. But you saw it. And once you see something like that... you can't ignore it. This isn't the story of a perfect runner. It's the story of someone fighting against herself. Of a girl who believes she's always one step behind... and the slow, fragile journey of learning that maybe-just maybe-she can move forward anyway. Not because someone saves her. But because, this time... she won't have to run alone.

      Bab 9
For the age of 23, Connor Young was a verifiable prodigy. Having dropped out of highschool at 17, and joining the USMC, he had a career filled to the brim with once in a career missions, netting him an impressive set of accolades, and a few untimely scars, before ultimately bringing him to be the youngest Gunnery Sergeant in the history of the Marines. After sustaining catastrophic injuries, he was put in charge of training the Umas who volunteered for the infantry life with old Uncle Sam. Though the position is secure, he was given a unique opportunity by his command. A publicity deal that could set him up for a cushy career away from any front lines that may arise in the future. He is transferred full time to Japan to work as a foreign trainer at the prestigious Tracen Academy, alongside a group of college graduates who had spent years studying the Umamusume. Though the transfer seems easy, fortune and fate often find themselves at odds with one another, and Connor will soon get a little more than he had bargained for at Tracen. Between the traumas of his past, and the ire of trainers who believe he doesn't deserve his position, he may be in for a situation no amount of training can prepare one for. For reference. Italicized words are spoken English, as everything else will represent the Japanese language.
