I spotted her sitting on the edge of the rooftop railing, her pencil scratching away at her sketchbook. I couldn't resist. I sauntered over, a plan forming in my mind.
As I approached, she looked up, her eyes narrowing slightly as she sensed my presence. I flashed her a lazy grin, and her gaze dropped back to her paper, but I could see the tension in her shoulders.
I snatched her sketchbook from her hands, holding it out of her reach. "Hey, what's the masterpiece?" I teased, flipping through the pages with a chuckle.
She glared at me, her eyes flashing with annoyance, but I could see the spark of amusement dancing in their depths. I loved that about her - she couldn't hide her emotions, not even when she was trying to.
"Give it back," she demanded, her voice husky and adorable.
I held the book closer to my chest, enjoying the game we were playing. I loved teasing her, loved watching her try to get under my skin. And I had to admit, I was a little obsessed with getting her attention.
