Friday Barnes has had a very quiet time at Interpol NYC lately. Until there is a famous interpretive pumpkin stolen, and Friday is first on the scene. With no clues and no suspects, it looks like a dead end. But she has all the time in the world..right? Wrong. Another artwork is stolen the same time a week later, and now she's on a timer. With a useless head agent and her boyfriend turning up dead in a dumpster, Friday is beginning to feel the pressure. Will she be able to solve this crime?

Ian is a writer from the Lakes district. When Friday comes over to help find his cat, he's finally found the perfect romance novel. And it's not just fiction, this time. The title is based on 'The Lakes' by Taylor Swift. It's a gorgeous song, and I think it encapsulates this fic well.

**ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO R.A.SPRATT** Since book 9 is released in 2021, I have decided to make my own, to see when updates will be posted, check my profile! In order for the book to make sense however, you NEED to read the other 8 books and make sure that you pay attention to a bunch of details *wink wink* Friday has missed Ian for 4 long years, but when the time comes to meet him, something is terribly wrong. He acts weirdly, and as the character tries to comfort Friday, as Ian brings news, so unpredictably, Friday now knows something is wrong. First a very expensive necklace ending up missing, a mystery Friday is stumped with, 2 parents in jail, with their 2 foster families with each sibling, supposedly missing, and 2 new kids entering the school. Can Friday figure out whats up with the school?

Friday Barnes has never been put on a homicide case before, but when the murder of Bella Abbott remains unsolved after 3 months, Friday Ian and Melanie are put with the lead detective for the case: Arthur Otto. The more the three get to know Arthur, the more they get to know about her life. Is the perfect girl she seems to be really who she is on the inside? Or is there something darker under her neatly ironed clothes and quiet personality?
