The humans were drawing closer with each passing second, and with no guarantee of how long they had left until they reached the Draconias hiding within Castle Wildrose's walls, Raverne knew what he had to do. Even if it would only grant them a few minutes to spare, he was willing to take the risk. After retiring as a General in his home of Briar Valley, Lilia Vanrouge couldn't help but wonder if he was making the right decisions when it came to raising his adoptive son, Silver. Moreso, he wasn't sure if he was making the right decision when it came to his son, and the child of the two people he loved most. Lilia wasn't stupid, he had thought long and hard of each and every implication that this relationship that had been built between his prince and the biological child of the man who tore his kingdom apart, but watching how much those two had grown to love one another, almost as brothers, he wouldn't contain the smile that rose to his face each time. He could only hope that his dear friends watching down on him agreed with his decisions. After thinking too hard about some of the story implications in book 7, I thought of this idea about how Lilia might've thought when seeing Malleus and Silver together. And so when pulling an all nighter, this is what I came up with!
