The Greek realms are a masterpiece of perfection and order, every bring knows that. What many don't know is what is really happening behind closed doors with their fierce leaders? When the daughter of Hades, and the heir to the underworld throne, is placed on earth to live amongst the humans to see if she really has what it takes to rule a kingdom, it is up to her to protect these people from sudden doom! with the help of a few friends she meets along the way she goes on a heroic journey to prove to her father she has what it takes to be Melinoe, Ruler of the Underworld. ⚠I am aware that most of the myths and lore I mention in this story are incorrect. I know the real myths but changed them for plot purposes. eg. Manea (mania) is not actually Hades daughter but in this story she is⚠

Persephone is used to her role as the queen of the Underworld after a millennium of being married to Hades. However, as time passes, she eventually grows envious of her husband because of his power and desires the same thing. As each day passes, Persephone's heart blackens and her desire for power grows stronger. The only way for the goddess of the dead to move up the ranks, and become stronger than her fellow deities is to wreak havoc upon both the mortal realm and Mount Olympus. Meanwhile on Earth, high school sophomore Keisha Parker is hyper-focused on hitting the books so that she can get into a good college which will help her achieve her career goal of being a politician. However, this comes to a screeching halt when her hometown of Thorndale is invaded by an army of sirens, who have claimed the location as a base for Persephone's evil plot.

Abelia Aurelius has always believed herself to be a rather uninteresting girl- born of roman parents in Greece she has lived a rather stressful life under the constant strain of her materialistic mother and her constantly absent sailor of a father. ~Note~ This story has lots of changes from what their stories are actually like! In Greek Mythology, Makaria was never allowed to leave the Underworld! Melinoe is also hideous looking since birth in Greek Mythology. And lastly, Makaria and Thanatos always remained a secret in Greek Mythology. If you want a 100% accurate fanfic, then I am terribly sorry, muffin. Melinoe & Makaria are both daughters of Hades and Persephone. Though, completely different, they both love each other as much as gods actually love. They are not very explored when it comes to greek mythology, so why not interpret their lives...like this:

Damn above grounders, they keep her from having fun. She's a Goddess why does she even listen to them...oh yes cause it's too much fun playing with the living. When they're dead the listen to well but alive humans will fight back and that's what makes it entertaining. And the Gods know, how hard it is to keep the entertaining one alive...so why not just kill them. Yes, their screams, the way they plead for their souls. She loved every second of it, for she is the Goddess of Fear and the smell of Adrenochrome is what gets her up in the mornings. Luckily she doesn't seem to be the only one addicted to the aroma...but why does he look like a clown. Not that he looks bad, just a strange way to dress every day. He's seemed to have noticed the powerful female from the start and is trying everything in his power to get her to turn her power onto himself...but she's a stubborn one that's for sure. The Hunter Exams have just got a lot more interesting, with two untamed killers what could possibly go wrong. Everything really, but thankfully there's someone who can easily handle the two of them. There is said to be a goddess born of lord Hades and lady Persephone. A powerful being that makes dogs, late at night howl at the top of their lungs, as a signal of her arrival to your nearby. The goddess, Melinoe, enjoys terrorizing the humans of the living realm. Fane Itona, a 23 year old with no patience, suddenly sees a woman so mesmerizing everywhere he goes.

While Melinoë believes that Hades and Persephone are her godparents, there is only little she knows about the truth. She thinks something's fishy about how Hades and Persephone treat her, they aren't like normal godparents parents. She gathers clues from her past in order to finally find the truth while facing family challenges in the midst. (This is probably predictable.)
