Cheri Phillips (Melissa Mccarthy) a woman and mom with a gay son &a passionate LGBTQ ally who works with the group Free Mom Hugs becomes super attached to a trans boy named Tyler Baker (Elliot Page) who she meets at Nashville Pride. She learns about his rough upbringing and the abuse he dealt with from his parents as he had just begun his transition recently and she becomes the new support in his life and what it means to be a good parent to a kid who's trans.

The girls have their first Christmas together&plan a small Christmas party with Kevin,Mookie and Jennifer.. they notice Patty has been quite bummed out and depressed since the beginning of the holidays and becoming more so as it gets closer to Christmas Day and get very persistent as to find out why that is so they can help. There will be some Yateslan (AbbyXPatty) and Holtzbert (ErinXHoltzy) fluff and also consist of some Polybusters!

When Jessi Scott (Barbie Ferreria) moves back in with her mother Joan (Melissa McCarthy) to take care of her after she is finally able to move into her own home after being in the hospital for so long because of breast cancer and then now being declared in remission. As they live their first weeks in the new place they figure out something isn't quite right and they begin to witness and see things that aren't of this world and Joan fears what's here wants to harm her daughter and realizes it's her turn to protect and take care of Jessi from whatever it is.
