He looked at her with a dark intensity in his brown eyes. "What makes you think you're so much better then the rest of us?" He asked stepping towards her. She tried to back away, but couldn't move; she couldn't tear her eyes away from his gaze. "Not now," Tamara desperately tried to change the topic. "I-um," Emerson stammered. "Just because you alter your appearance doesn't mean you're any different from us. Next time ask your rich daddy for the top brand contacts," he muttered as he turned to walk away. "I'm not wearing contacts!" I defended, trying to hide my lie, and crossing my arms over my chest. "Next time you lie, make it more convincing. Shelby Quentin had lived a peaceful and cozy life. That was before she moved in with the irresponsible, and audacious, Tegan Ray. Her friends warned her not to move in with Tegan, but she did anyway. She needed a place to stay, and none of them offered. So, now her and Tegan share a two roomed apartment. Learning to get through their differences in the best way possible. Then, Tegan starts to break down.

People are uneasy around her because they don't comprehend either her or autism. Alex hides some of her better qualities by concealing her autism. However, when those portions are aggressive, attractive, and powerful, they can no longer remain hidden. Since the early age of two, her parents knew there was something different about her, they were proved right when Alex was diagnosed with Autism at the age of seven. Nico, her older sister, doesn't understand Autism and just thinks it's Alex misbehaving. Nobody fully understands her, not even her parents or friends. Now when she's transitioning into Secondary School into year seven, her whole world is turned upside down and she has to learn to try to fit in better all over again. Behave like the other students, so she doesn't get found out. At the age of eleven, Alex barely recognises her true self anymore, from trying to forget and remodel herself, she lost herself. Sophie's struggling. She doesn't know why. She is a completely ordinary girl, looks like it, acts like it, and her life's like it. She doesn't have any real problems, does she? This story emphasises mental health issues and some other hard stuff. It is meant to bring more awareness to the "normal girls" in this world. This is actually inspired by a friend of mine who is a "normal girl" too. Well, was until her meltdown today (26.06.25). I have her permission to write about this, so it can be useful to others.
