Melvin never cared about gender. He was born a girl and was find with it. Although he would dabble in other gender presentations sometimes. But one day, after hearing that it would be hard to make it as a female scientist, decided to tell his parents he was a trans boy. And he was been living as such for years. But one day in high school, he decides he's getting bored of presenting as male. And decides to go back to presenting as female. And in the process, gaslights everyone he's ever known.

The school dance is coming up! And Melvin has decided he doesn't wanna go. But when he starts to develop feelings for Harold Hutchins, the boy he's disliked, even hated, for years. And he starts to reconsider not going. Also this takes place in high school.
