In a close-knit neighborhood of Mogadishu, Somalia, near the bustling area of Cadoodo, Shayma, the eldest sister, Muna, the middle child, and Sabrina, the youngest, navigate their childhood under the care of their single mother. Although they appear to be a picture-perfect family to the outside world, the reality is much more complex. Beneath the surface of their seemingly happy lives lies a tangled web of unresolved conflicts and hidden struggles, casting a shadow over their sisterly bond.

In this story I unveil the triumphs necessary for my developmental growth, personality realization, and the introduction of happiness into my life. I speak of relatively common mental issues that people don't discuss because they are afraid to be shamed, and unheard of descriptive details about mental illness. I except constructive criticism on my work, but shaming ones mental health with the intent of bullying is immoral, and it will not be excepted. A letter of acknowledgement to my future self and anyone else on a journey to healing, that describes the feelings and emotions I am currently experiencing at this point of my own healing journey. I wrote this so that I could fully understand and process what I am feeling but also for anyone that may be in a similar situation. If that happens to be you, this is for you and you're not alone.
