When he gets in trouble at school yet again, his parents get tired of him and ship him off to a home for troubled boys. The thought of his parents throwing him away completely pisses him off, and he is determined to get the owner of the institution to kick him out. She believes she's smarter than most people, knows she doesn't deserve the life she ended up with, and still refuses to give up on herself. Being alone has always been her way to survive. Billie arrives like a rupture. Loud, volatile, self-destructive, and impossible to ignore. She doesn't want to be there. She fights the walls, the nurses, the rules, and anyone who gets too close. I try looking through the small slot bringing in the only light from outside of the room. I know that I'm screaming but at this point I don't have control over what comes out. The slot suddenly shuts. I keep banging on the door but it doesn't last long. My hands feel wet with the familiar substance coursing through my veins and I pass out. ~*~

This story is about a 20 year old boy named Riley. Riley struggles with his body image and his eating disorder. His parents sent him to live with his aunt after they had become nasty drunks. After he had gotten sent to his aunts, he went to a mental hospital. He was 15. But he was "better" for 3 years. Turns out, he had been faking and lying. When he turned 20, his Aunt Jessi sent him back to the same mental hospital. Riley figures himself out through his new friends and confidence.
