However, there is always that one person that sees his every move and every action. Is Alfred's mask of joy and happiness becoming more and more transparent by each day?

A girl dealing with the death of her sister.

A simple meeting on the roof between Homura Akemi and someone else. She might find out a few things, uncover a few secrets, maybe develop a new sense of duty in the meanwhile during this meeting, but little does she know... Helping the person she's talking to is impossible, as he doesn't want to be helped, he has accepted his suffering, embraced it even, knowing he is destined to suffer and there's nothing to do about it, but she'll still try. She always tries.

This is a short story that I wrote for my Final Major project in my Creative Writing course at college. It's a story about finding yourself and overcoming boundaries that could've held you back from being your true self. It's about revenge, it's about love, it's about mental health.
