Gotham Harbor was protected by mer known as the Bat. Twenty years ago or so the Bat disappeared. Then, a new Bat mer appeared. This, may or may not be connected to Mary McGinnis's missing sons. Especially when the Bat was forced into an aquarium. And mysteriously got out.

Rebellious twenty-four-year-old Victor Nikiforov is fascinated by life under the sea. Sadly, Victor is forbidden from exploring the oceans vast expanse due to its endless dangers. Victor's mother, the powerful Queen of Aria, decides that it's time for her son to grow up and drags him on a journey across the ocean in hopes of finding him a proper suitor to marry. However, during the trip, her plans are derailed when a terrible storm blows in and causes their ship to wreck. During the chaos, Victor is thrown overboard and finds himself struggling to keep his head above water. Miraculously, Victor is saved by a handsome, mysterious mermaid who quickly vanishes back into the salty waters without even a goodbye. Thankful to be alive and hopelessly in love with this skittish Mer, Victor makes a dangerous deal and sets out to find the creature who saved his life. Will Victor be able to find his savior and finally get his happily ever after or will he pay dearly for his gamble and lose everything? (Cover Art Drawn by me)

As much as he tries to hide it, people started noticing the changes. So, after some advice, Keith writes all his troubles down in a letter sealed in a bottle. He throws it in the ocean, thinking that no one will ever find it. Lance is a merman living beneath the waves in the mer kingdom of Altea. All his life, his family had warned him to never go close to the shore, for fear of being seen; and all his life, Lance had listened to those warnings. So how come he now found himself not only near the shore, but with a human object in his arms? Maybe it was the way the light shone off it, or the strange feeling he had to need to know more about it. What Lance didn't know was that the message hidden inside that bottle would change his life forever. TW: Angst. A lot of it.
