SagaThena
The Heroes of the Strand Rebellion did not start out as the Legends they eventually became. At one point Wren, the Kindhearted Net Jockey and Hikari, the Cyber Blade Shell Hopper were just learning how to act as a team. These Side Gigs tell the many stories of their adventures as the Weindigo Mercenaries grew by taking the jobs that pay the bills and charge the batteries.

Side Gig #1: Little Beacon
A kid vanishes in a crowded Verge market, and the city does what it always does, it looks away.
Wren doesn't.
A ransom note appears on a noodle stall screen like a joke written in black text, and the proof-of-life clip makes the whole night go sharp. Hikari flips from Wisp's fast, teenage urgency into Forge's soldier calm, and suddenly this isn't a favor, it's a recovery operation. No cops, no corp, no heroic speeches, just a ticking clock and a child's beacon blinking somewhere under a dead rail spur.
The trail leads to the Cathedral, a scavenger stronghold built from rust and ritual, where the Gutterkites hold a nine-year-old girl like collateral. Wren and Wisp slip into the structure through a drainage run, hunting heat signatures and signal residue while Juno circles overhead, recording everything. But the deeper they go, the clearer it becomes, this job isn't just ransom, it's a trap with an audience, and someone with clean resources is pulling strings behind dirty hands.
They came for a rescue.
The Cathedral is ready for a show.
