Maia is the eighteen year old sister of the famous Siggy. After the loss of her husband, daughter and sons, Siggy believes that she has no family left. But what will happen her sister who went missing four years ago returns? What will happen when Bjorn Lothbrok notices Maia?

A great christian kingdom ruled by a few men. A young woman fighting hard to make her place among those few men, to rule the great Mercia from behind the closed doors. Her only weapon-Words. And a Prince, a warrior stuck in the politics of the court, trying to sort out the mess this kingdom has become-Oligarchy under the guise of Sovereignty. Will the men let a woman join their elite governing body? Will the woman manage to survive, even if she get in? Will the Prince sort it out or will he get sucked deeper and deeper into the chaos? (Oh and of course there's the whole love-hate drama y'all like) Set in the backdrop of Viking invasions and Northumbria's rise to power, conflict is in the air. And what better time to snatch and consolidate power than the season of War!
