The group is at their lowest of lows. Oscar is gone, Atlas has fallen, and team RWBY and NYPC are presumed dead. How will everyone go on to take on the ever present threat of Salem. Mercury had always been empty inside ever since his dad had passed away . He had no family left since his parents divorced years ago. He stumbled across two women who might help to regain his courage and maybe, fill in the gap in his heart. Emerald was a young thief who stole for a living. She was never caught, thanks to her semblance, and things were fine but sadly, some days she'd go without eating or even drinking. When she found herself cornered one day, face to face with a woman who might change her life for the better or for the worse.

Team RWBY's luck has really been in their favor recently. They've stricken a great blow to the White Fang and their allies are in one piece, not to mention the problems they've managed to overcome physically and mentally. But, how does their emotional state come into any of this? And more importantly, how can they overcome this issue that hits close to home? No bad guys and none of their friends being in danger.
