when sixteen-year old danny fenton and his family decide to get away from the rush of the city and take a vacation in a small woodland town in oregon, danny discovers that this town is anything but ordinary, and the people there even more so. meanwhile, dipper and mabel are entranced by the mysterious teenager that shows up in gravity falls one evening. before phantom planet and after northwest mansion mystery. I do not own the characters on danny phantom or gravity falls. lowercase intended. written 2015-2016. i do not claim anything before chapter 08 as my own. i wrote this when i was 14 and it was heavily, heavily, HEAVILY influenced by the online comic cold front created by smphantom until i latched onto a different plotline. i have since spoken with the artist and they were very understanding. please check out cold front! it is very, very good.

Phantom is a reef mer, familiar with humans, and outcast by his own kind. And by chance, they meet. This is a collaborative RP fic between Atrieisan and BubblewithWings on Deviant art. Danny never believed in mythical creatures even though his parents strongly did. The Fenton's where known for their crazy obsession with mers, and it has brought Danny and his sister much grief and bullying by their piers. Danny grew a big grudge towards his parents and their absurd obsession. But after an experiment gone wrong, Danny is forced to accept the fact that his parents might not be the towns weirdos everyone proclaims them to be. He is forced to take an unwanted step into the mythical world. How will Danny and his friends handle this new outcome? I promise that the story is so much better then the summary!
