When Derek chooses Addison everything falls apart for Meredith. She was interested in Neuro but with Derek being her teacher she couldn't handle it. She transfers to Mass Gen in Boston but what will happen when something tragic being Meredith and Derek back in the same hospital.

Kayla Shepherd- 9 year old daughter Derek didn't know he had with a high school fling find out what happens when Kayla's mom dies after telling Derek Kayla is his. How will he and Meredith take on this new responsibility. Meredith wants kids of her own but how will she love Kayla. What happens after Derek dies and Meredith moves on.
