However growing up together isn't all that easy... When Hiccup turns fifteen, his kingdom goes to war and it is deemed unsafe for him travel to visit Merida. What happens when the war is finally over and after five years apart, the betrothed finally meet again.... Characters belong to Dreamworks and Disney Pixar.

Merida is set up for an arranged marriage, and as far as she knows, it will be to one of the 3 other clans, Mackintosh, MacGuffin, or (Spirits help her) Dingwall's sons. That is the last thing she wants. For in a clan across the river, the closest to land Dun Broch, lives Adelaide Adger. However untraditional it would be, if only her mother would let her choose who she may love. Little does the princess know, in Clan Adger, the eldest daughter, Adelaide Adger and her father are preparing for the journey to Dun Broch to compete in the games for Merida's hand after receiving the letter of approval from Queen Elinor.
