When Arthur spares the life of a magic user, he must prove his competence to his father by capturing another sorcerer. Merlin, despite being against it in his heart, joins Arthur on his hunt for a sorcerer with a bewitched ring. SEQUEL: Mistakes Unkempt ━━━━━━━━━━━━ "Why?" Arthur steps a foot closer. "Because you love me too and if we do something we both want it'll feel like we're violating a law so we don't deserve the happiness we've been seeking for for years?" Merlin's lips tighten and his glare hardens. A minute passes, and they're both staring at each other, Arthur completely indifferent and Merlin on the verge of a panic attack. But in a flash, however, the ravenette straightens his posture and relaxes his face. In a quiet, chilling tone, he says, "Exactly." ━━━━━━━━━━━━ - every chapter is on the same day - simple story - i love angst as much as i love merthur, which is a lot whoops - this is just to get myself into my writing mood

She spoke before Merlin could ask if she was alright. "Then I am happy." she said, her tone not betraying her. Merlin was a little surprised. "Gwen?" Gwen looked back at him and smiled warmly. "I am happy he died with someone that he knew loved him." OR Merlin returns to Camelot just over a year after Arthur's death. He learns of the changes since he left, and realises that Gwen knew more about him than she ever let on.

In which Merlin is court sorcerer, and the knights bet that they can beat Merlin in a fight. Merlin happily accepts the challenge, knowing well that the knights of Camelot don't stand much of a chance against him. He is the most powerful sorcerer in the world after all. Meanwhile, Arthur struggles to keep his feelings for Merlin under wraps. Merlins a sassy shit, and Arthur's in love with Him, obviously.

"Merlin!" a voice rang out into the distance. "Merlin!" it repeated again, the distressed tone only increasing each time. Arthur had repeated his manservant's name several times now and so far, he'd gotten no results. Safe to say, he was worrying his princely socks off. He firmly shook Merlin's shoulder, begging for him to wake up on the inside, but on the outside, he was just shouting his name. "Merlin!" he yelled for the tenth time, the man who lay in front of him not responding. 'Well, of course he wouldn't,' the back of Arthur's mind told him. 'He's fallen off a cliff for God's sake.' OR Merlin falls off a cliff and Arthur learns that it's not the first time this has happened. So, Merlin tells Arthur a tale from when he was a boy.

Merlin (Arthur's POV) is basically the tale of BBC Merlin completely through his point of view. He doesn't know about Merlin's magic, doesn't know about Morgana going dark before it was obvious, and he never knows what really goes on. Now for those who might not watch the show but are still curious... Arthur Pendragon, crown prince of Camelot, had lived the life he was meant to for twenty-five years. Everything starts to change when Merlin moved to town though. The commoner is witty, honest, and the bravest person Arthur had ever met. Then Merlin and Arthur are forced into a relationship neither are exactly happy to be in. Merlin is his new manservant- annoying him all day, all week, and until he is allowed to fire the godforsaken villager. Of course, that time might come later rather than sooner with King Uther's stubbornness as a factor.
