Merlin felt the golden light fade from his eyes as he looked to Arthur, who was standing mere meters away from him. He didn't even have to look at the King to feel the expression on his face. No sooner had he looked to the other man; Merlin had frozen on the spot. It was as if the world had stopped at their feet and that he and Arthur were the only two people standing in it. OR Merlin reveals his magic to save Arthur's life in the midst of a battle. Wracked with fear for Arthur, he runs away, and Arthur finds himself unable to let Merlin go.

In a parallel 2020, Prince Arthur moves out of home with flatmate Merlin when a mysterious plague spreads across the land and sends Camelot into a lockdown. Uther is quick to blame sorcerers, Arthur needs to decide if he supports the king, and being in lockdown with the prince means Merlin really needs to keep his magic a secret. Both are left to ponder questions we might have had in recent times: - How am I going to stay in all day? - Am I kind of boring for being almost unaffected by this? - Should I trust a flatmate to give me a lockdown haircut? Either way, Merlin and Arthur are mostly stuck at home -and with each other- catching up on some soul-searching. Indefinitely.

This is a story inspired by Thomas Sanders song parody 'Gay Disney Prince' where Disney has finally made a Gay Disney Prince in its partly animated partly(mostly) live action Disney prince movie and the characters 'Prince Edward' and 'Monroe Moore' fall in love when Eddie gets thrown into the 21st century before he can marry the 'princess Evelyn' by 'the evil witch Karma' the real life actors of Eddie and Monroe (Arthur and Merlin) end up falling deeply in love and the on screen performance really shows it.

More than 1,000 years after Arthur's death, Merlin is still waiting for his King's return. He waits in an abandoned, yet fully decorated observatory on the shore of the Lake of Avalon. An observatory that he has decorated to his heart's content, a place truly fit for a King. He couldn't wait for the day that Arthur would see it.
