It had been a few thousand years since Merlin's best friend died in his arms. He felt hopeless, like his life had ended that day too. "This is not the end of Arthur," spoke Kilgharrah "For he is Albion's true king and will rise again". "Then I will wait," declared Merlin, and that he did. It's now 2021 and A LOT has changed since then. Merlin has well and truly grown into his "great dragoon" body, having lived near Arthur's grave for centuries. He had started getting comfortable in his life when all of a sudden his wait was over. Arthur had been reborn like a phoenix, which sounds great accept for the fact that everything he ever knew has changed. Merlin rescues him from being arrested and the two of them embark on the road trip of a lifetime. Along the way they try to find out why Arthur was brought back and just catching up on what he's missed.

After freya's dead Merlin doesn't know what to do without his love. He feels torn, no..broken. Arthur being Arthur makes Merlin feel worse with his "jokes". Merlin feels it better to leave with freya. In the end what will he choose?

A mysterious knight comes to Camelot, but they're not who they seem. They long for freedom and love. Will they find that in Camelot? Can they be trusted? Merlin finds comfort in a sorcerer where they can both be themselves. A tale of love and loss.
