He didn't quite get it. Merlin didn't quite understand why Arthur would invite him for a drink with him and his friends, the knights. It's not that he was complaining, but he hadn't done it before so why now? Arthur on the other hand, knew exactly what he was doing bringing Merlin to a pub. As far as Arthur knew, Merlin went to the pub regularly and couldn't pass up a good drink. With Merlin drunk he could figure out what his servant was hiding from him all this time.

Merlin has always been there for Arthur. And the prince starts to realize just how comforting that is. Author note: The chapters are quite short on purpose, since I wanted this to be more of a short story about these two falling in love. Merlin slips away quietly, but something happens. He hides it from Arthur and the others. But everyone eventually finds out and freaks out. A little bit of Merlin BAMF. (Very short summary.) Merlin isn't really hurt, but Arthur won't listen.

Merlin is arrested for sorcery in Camelot. He is supposed to be executed at dawn, and he is-- except somehow he survives. The only problem is there's a new prophecy this time, one that keeps Merlin away from everyone he knows and loves. When the prophecy allows them to reunite again, Arthur and Merlin start on their journey to right a generation of wrongs, and find out what exactly a manservant could mean to his prince.

Merlin and Gwen meet in the forest while Merlin is heading for Camelot. Merlin not knowing his destiny yet gets a small crush on the prince. Better yet Arthur becomes obsessed with Merlin. Gwen and Morgana watch on the sidelines having a romance of their own.

The lake held his lover as its hostage, hidden within its depths. The lake taunted and teased him; it screamed and screeched and smirked. The lake was a reminder that Merlin had failed. His punishment was Arthur's death and the promise of an equivocal prophecy. His punishment was to wait. Bożydar "Stiles" Mieczysław Winchester was not an average kid by any means. Not only does he and his twin have two fathers (both of which are biological), one of his fathers was an angel alongside one of his uncles, one of his other uncles was a genius billionaire philanthropist superhero, and apparently his cousin had spider powers. After Arthur's death, Merlin is caught alone with out him for centuries. He has lost count of how long it's been. After all, Merlin is nothing without magic, but turns out he is nothing without Arthur. Kilgharrah said Arthur will rise again once Albions need is greatest, but what if it's when merlins need is greatest?

During a cold and raining hunting trip in the forest with Arthur and the knights. Merlin catches a cold, but as the stubborn servant he his, insists to continue working. Art is not mine! Credits the original owner.

Merlin is acting weird, more weird than usual, he's quiet and withdrawn. Can Arthur find out what's wrong?
