Merlin however, is basically the total opposite of Arthur, personality wise, he is younger (15) and alot less wealthy than Arthur, having to pick up random jobs just to pay for food. Until one day, Arthur attends public school for the first time, after being in private school for most of his life. There, he bumps into Merlin, who already seems to hate his guts. Though, Arthur is determined to get him to like him, and to become friends! Or- perhaps more than that..? So, Arthur gives Merlin an offer he couldn't refuse.... <> Enjoy the story<3

When Merlin still didn't look at him, he grabbed his friend's arm trying to get his attention. Merlin lifted his gaze, now surprised by the sudden touch. Their eyes met and Arthur saw a sadness in his friend's eyes. ____ Merlin was the prince of Airasan until the whole kingdom was taken and he had to flee. Now he's at Camelot as a manservant but what happens when some knights of Airasan come to seek for help to get their kingdom back. Is Merlin ready for his destiny? And what about his other destiny? Merlin could only sit in waiting no matter what he did even if meaned that he was put in harm's way. This time it was not a stab to the side or a cut but an emotional bruise to his heart that Arthur himself afflicted. The one thing that made it ache all that more was hiding himself in more than one way not being able to show anyone even Gaius.
