Its a YA fantasy about Riley a fifteen year old girl that moves from Kansas to Florida with her dad, after her mom dies tragically. She gives her dad a hard time. Obviously she's not happy about leaving her friends and family behind. While she's feeling sad for herself she sits on the beach crying when the waves crash over her feet and suddenly she's a mermaid. She soon learns her family was cursed to stay on land for three centuries, her mom is the infamous pirate Anne Bonney and she can manipulate time. Soon Anne asks for her help escaping a prison three hundred years before and the long forgotten pirate Artemis Zane is determined to become the most famous pirate of all time.

All's well and good when you're the prince of Alternia and everything goes your way. But when your own captain of the guard turns his back on you in favour of a known rebel leader, well. Someone's got to do something about that, and that someone might as well be you. In honour of Mermay, I present to you my first ever proper AU as well as my first real attempt at writing a polyam ship. I hope I did a good job.

Gil is an anglerfish mermaid and he is the only of his kind that can stay long term near the surface. Gil has always had a fascination for land dwellers, or humans, because of their loving atmosphere. That loving atmosphere carries over when Gil meets a marine biologist named Jordan. He doesn't technically meet Jordan but rather stalks from a distance until he finally has the courage to say something to the so called, 'violent land dweller.'

Every day for the year 2022 I will be drawing something and then writing an entry to go with it. Please don't judge my drawing, it's not something I do often, but I'm hoping that this will help me improve my drawing. Stories about mermaids/sea creatures/ nymphs and water sprites for mermay. I'm not or at least mostly not following the prompts from the website. ( I didn't even know there was a website until a couple of days ago.) I know this is mostly for drawing but I thought it would be fun anyway.

An ancient predator inhabiting the dark corners of the psionic world known as the Mindscape, must journey to satiate its hunger for a divine spirit.

You didn't like the ocean. The water felt like it would burn (and it does). Your lungs would give out sooner than others and you didn't even know how to swim! You never asked for this trip, never asked to be here. Yet, here you are, stuck all alone and waiting for rescue that probably would never come. Or, well, not really alone. The burning gaze of something in the water wouldn't leave yours.
