When Shadow the Hedgehog is ordered to take care of Metal Sonic, who recently got turned into a regular speedy hedgehog and abandoned by Dr. Eggman, the dark hedgehog can't help but strongly disagree with having to watch over him, but what will happen when days of being aggressive will turn into Shadow letting his walls down for the former Badnik?

50 years after the last of the Sonic cast has passed away, Shadow is left alone. He's been given a mission back to Eggman's old laboratories, only to find something that would bring a series of memories back to him.

In his pursue to get rid of a certain blue annoyance, Ivo Robotnik comes up with the perfect plan to get Shadow to do the dirty work. Will his new project be a success or will it simply be foiled when a certain blue hedgehog decides to take matters into his own hands.
