This fiction is not only about Venom Snake and Quiet, but also the plot of MGSV, its hidden messages, theories and misunderstood meanings; matching the pieces given by TPP and providing others of my own to complete the story. In other words: a complete experience of the events occurred before, during and after The Phantom Pain incident; relating even those which were not included in the game itself (Chapter 3, Nuclear Disarmament, etc.). I do not own any of the characters. They all belong to Konami and Kojima.

Solid Snake is far and away the single most effective soldier on the planet. When he is tasked with eliminating a threat on one of the most secure facilities on Earth. Which also happens to house some of the most insane criminals on the the planet, Arkham Asylum. He has 72 hours to neutralize a terrorist plot that is somehow tied into Arkham. Infiltration, stealth, leave no trace, standard black ops mission. Any evidence of his or the military's involvement in penetrating Gotham's home for the criminally insane will be denied. Snake is on his own, against the most lethal and psychotic villains to ever walk the streets. (I have lots of ideas, will be popping in with updates periodically, fairly good direction of where the story is headed, totally open to comments or ideas. Being a Solid Snake story, there has to be a cyborg ninja, torture, and a Metal Gear naturally. Feel free to suggest any villains from Arkham that Snake or his buddies should go up against, or any feedback, or to say hi.)

You remember that awesome story mode from SSBB? Well, this story is my adaptation of the story mode. All characters mentioned in this story and all rights go to their respective owners. The way that this story works is that I've given the characters dialogue, and I'll provide translations for the Pokémon in parentheses. I also decided to make Marth's dialogue english because I don't understand Japanese. It's also based on my personal experience. A quick note on character relations; Newcomer characters will only know another veteran character only if they're from the same universe. This applies to veteran characters knowing newcomers. Since it's established in this game that Zero Suit Samus is just her without her regular suit, she still knows Pikachu because they met in a previous smash game. Update: Thanks for all the reads!

In 2018, I wrote an essay for school on the video game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and how the experience affected the players, focusing on the theme of trauma. I did an online poll on Twitter and Tumblr with 225 respondents and felt like finally putting up the results. Wattpad doesn't have footnotes so I couldn't use them, but I put a Works Cited page.

Quiet finds out that the man that she once sacrificed her life for, Big Boss, isn't whom she thought. The feeling of betrayal overwhelms her. But she is yet to discover the complete truth behind this whole fiasco. When Venom Snake finds out that the english strain parasites have yet to end Quiet's life, he feels some sort of feeling. Relief? Joy even? But confusion as well as to why the parasites have been reacting much, much more slower than usual. He's happiness is soon taken away when he realizes that he would have to confess the truth about his identity. How she will react, is something he would rather not think about. Shortly thereafter he makes several trips back and forth between Mother Base and Zanzibar without any inclination as to why. Kazuhira Miller being suspicious, follows Venom Snake to Zanzibar to find something very odd, strange, peculiar at best. What does he find and why has it changed him? Just what is Snake doing? Anthea Miller, the sister of Kazhuria Miller. Both toutured, but Miller took the heavier loss, once Boss saved Kaz first due to Anthea's transfer, and after they finally found her, Big Boss saved her too, once she got to Mother Base, Miller treated Anthea as if she was anther one of the soldiers, which made her depressed. But after she proved herself to Boss and Revolver Ocelot, she becomes a commander, working along side of Ocelot, Miller, Boss, and the rest of the Diamond Dogs, she will leave her mark.
