Spoiler alert- they aren't. This takes place after Vecna is killed, Eddies name is cleared, Max is alive and the upside down is demolished. The whole 'gang' lives in Hawkins. Eddie is having a hard time after his time in the upside down. The whole town blames him for the murders, he's on the verge of being thrown out of his trailer. He can't forget what happened and blames himself for the events. But, oddly Steve seems to provide him the most comfort. They hang out alot, talking and laughing, listening to music and seeing movies. But it's completely platonic! Right?

For Ianthe's sixteenth birthday, her cousin, Xandria decides to surprise her with a two-day trip to Stockholm so as to attend the concert of Obnoxious, a black metal band who has gained lots of popularity off scandals rather than their musical talent. There, a friend of Xandria's also has a surprise for them in store, namely the chance to meet the infamous boys off stage as well. With no second thoughts, the girls decide to hop on the bandwagon and get a taste of what being part of one of the most problematic group at the moment feels like. One surprise leads to another and soon, they find themselves in the middle of a mess. And with no possibility of backing out, they can either try to get their lives back under control or let themselves get carried away even further.
