So I got the idea for this thinking of ability's in my other story, but here is the gist. Time grows up in Meteor city, much like the phantom troupe, at one point he almost dies and has a near death experience. This is the inspiration for his later nen ability which of course I will expand upon. Also, I actually really dislike the hunter exam arc as I don't find it as appealing as later ones down the road, so I will put less time into explaining the details while writing it. My favorite arcs are actually the chimera ant arc, greed island arc and the Alluka/Zodiac arc, in that order. I don't own HxH however my character and his ability are mine!:) I am going to try updating this about once every two to three days, as my last story I released in a giant lump and I spent a lot of time working on the chapters without a reason..

there is a city called Meteor city also known as Dump Town. They all thought it was a legend, but it wasn't. That is where all dump goes, if you are abandoned you are taking there.
