In a society both blessed and cursed with the phenomenon known as Quirk's, the world everyone knew would be shaped into lifting Hero culture above all, and igniting the comic book dreams everyone had as children. Becoming a Hero. Kaiseki Shindou is one of these blessed, possessing a Quirk many would dream to have. And one he intends to use to become the coolest Hero... in spite of his moral and personal shortcomings. But the path he dreams to follow isn't as blessed as he hopes. After all, Quirk's do not choose who to bless. Their only fairness is in it's randomness of who gets what power, and they do not care of morals and circumstances. This paves the journey for the Kinetic Hero with Villains... and Monsters... -------------------- This book is a rewrite of a previous Male Reader Insert I once did. But although it will tell a similar story, I hope to write a far more improved narrative based on what I've learned, with a more in depth main character. Komi was good at most things in her life. Except for math...and confrontation -but other than that, she was smooth sailing it. Komi just had to learn to live with her quirk, because whether she liked it or not, her quirk wasn't going away any time soon. Oh, and maybe, small chance, per-say that Komi finally starts acting like how most people do her age now that she's free from Endeavour's tormented hands. And maybe there's one, or two...possibly three and why not just say like a million things she's missed out on that she's now learning. Great power comes with great responsibility. A quote that is repeated so often people no longer contemplate its meaning. Does it imply everyone with a strong quirk should be forced to use it in service of society as heroes? Does it simply mean one should not use power for evil or selfish purposes? Or is it just a nonsense quote somebody once said to sound smart, and it just stuck around? Personally, I believe the third option. What obligation do people who come into power by chance have to use it solely for good? Who defines what 'good' even is? And why is selfishness bad in the first place? Looking back now, I wonder how things would have turned out if I had been given a choice in whether or not to serve society. If I had been allowed to be a bit more selfish. The truth is, not all stories end happily. Mine sure doesn't. Miyazaki Yura was a girl who was never supposed to get a quirk. When she miraculously develops one at the age of eight, people are sure she will become a hero. But power has a price. One she never had a choice in paying.
